Atifa brings over 13 years of experience in climate change adaptation and environmental programming. She has managed the development and implementation of over 25 projects including the GEF, GCF, and Adaptation Fund. Her work has spanned capacity building, knowledge management, policy development, and on-the-ground adaptation solutions, with significant field experience in fragile and conflict-affected settings such as South Sudan, Afghanistan, and Myanmar.
Atifa holds a degree in Human Geography and has a strong interest in urban resilience.
