Derrick Oguda provides financial and budgetary support across projects, including budget preparation, financial monitoring, reporting, and project lifecycle management. He ensures compliance with donor and UNEP regulations, supports project reviews and closures, and liaises with stakeholders across Africa and ECA portfolios.
Derrick has over ten years of experience in finance, accounting, and operations in donor-funded and private sector environments. Prior to UNEP, he worked with the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, supporting climate action programmes across Africa and Latin America.
He is a Development Finance Master’s candidate, a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) graduate, and a CPA-Kenya with CFA Level I.
