Jitendra is the focal point for the POPs projects of the GEF Chemicals and Waste Portfolio.
He has more than 17 years of experience in in the area of environmental projects, particularly chemicals and waste management and Stockholm Convention. Before joining UNEP in 2018 in the Country Office of India, Jitendra spent seven and a half years in the Stockholm Convention Regional Centre, and over two years in UNIDO.
Jitendra is a national of India, he holds a PhD in Science.
