Sandra supports the Global Environment Facility (GEF) portfolio of Climate Change Mitigation projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. She focuses on transparency initiatives, including projects that build reporting systems (CBIT) and those that deliver reports (BTR/NC).
With over 10 years of experience in climate change, she has worked on international cooperation projects involving greenhouse gas quantification, monitoring, reporting, and verification at multiple scales, as well as mitigation planning and evaluation. She has collaborated with the Ministry of Environment of Colombia and served as a consultant for the World Resources Institute and UNDP.
She is a Civil Engineer with a Master’s in Environmental Engineering from Universidad de los Andes, Colombia.
