Cedric Assogba is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Earth, Environmental, and Life Sciences at Okayama University, Japan, with a focus on the sustainable management of aquatic weeds for water purification and environmental conservation. As a Japanese government MEXT scholar from Benin, his academic and field research centers on transforming ecological challenges into circular economy opportunities, including biomass reuse and biowaste valorization.
He joined UNEP-IETC in 2025 as a Programme Support Intern, where he assists in projects promoting sustainable waste management and the adoption of Environmentally Sound Technologies (ESTs).
