Lei Wang holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Zhejiang University and a Master’s in Public Policy from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Lei joined the environmental and sustainable development field with early experience at the Zhejiang Environmental Department Research Center (2019) and UNDP (2019–2020), later serving as a Consultant at Deloitte’s Sustainability and Climate Change team (2023–2024) and an Intern at UNEP IETC (2024–2025). Since 2025, Lei has taken on the role of Programme Associate at UNEP-IETC, with a portfolio focused on plastic waste management, in addition to supporting work on circular economy models and waste management policy initiatives.
