Ecology Note – Towards a Clean, Green and Beautiful Bhutan

Ecology Note : Towards Clean, Green and Beautiful Bhutan – is a supplementary material for primary school teachers who wish to introduce environmental education for the first time, or for those who want to enhance the scope of educational work in addition to what is already taught in the classrooms. It gives ideas on how to incorporate sustainable waste management as environmental education into different subjects such as Science, Social Studies, Economics, Arts, Mathematics and other relevant learning areas. It can also be used for informal and non-formal education activities as a material for children and adults to learn how to be an environmentally friendly citizens.

This Ecology Note was prepared by the National Environment Commission (NEC) with the support of IGES Centre Collaborating with UNEP on Environmental Technologies (CCET), UNEP IETC based on the original work on Ecology Note of Kitakyushu (Japan), Mandalay (Myanmar) and Phnom Penh (Cambodia).
