Technical Meeting of Ozone Officers (Ozone Arab Team) with the Arab Building Codes Committee

This event is jointly organized by the West Asia and Africa Compliance Assistance Programmes (CAP) of UNEP OzonAction, in collaboration with the League of Arab States (LAS). It is held within the framework of UNEP OzonAction CAP’s regional network services to Article 5 countries in the West Asia region, and as part of its role as an Implementing Agency of the Multilateral Fund for the Implementation of the Montreal Protocol.

The event comprises two back-to-back meetings: the Coordination Meeting of Ozone Officers (Ozone Arab Team) from the West Asia and African Networks, and the Technical Meeting of Ozone Officers with the Arab Building Codes Committee.

The main objectives of those meetings are to strengthen regional cooperation, review the implementation status of Montreal Protocol commitments, coordinate joint actions under the Protocol and the Vienna Convention, and support technical policy discussions on integrating refrigerant and foam-related provisions into building codes.
