Steve Swan

Steve has nearly 20 years’ experience in forest biodiversity management, governance and financing in Southeast and East Asia. His technical expertise includes: environmental and social safeguards; forest ecosystem service financing; sustainable landscape/low-emissions development planning; sustainable livelihoods; national policy, legislative and regulatory reform; and protected area development and management. Steve has worked closely with stakeholders at all levels and has extensive experience managing large multidisciplinary teams of technical advisors. Prior to joining UN-REDD, Steve was Senior Technical Advisor on the SNV - Netherlands Development Organization - Multiple Benefits REDD+ project.
