Groupe de Recherche et d’Analyse Appliqués pour le Développement (GRAAD) Burkina partnered with the commune of Koudougou to implement Operation NEERE as part of this SWITCH Africa Green project. The NEERE project (“neere” meaning pretty and clean in the local language) was aimed at promoting the creation of a healthy, pleasant living environment in the town of Koudougou and driving change in the population’s modes of consumption and production. From 19 to 24 September 2016, the mayor of Koudougou led a waste management exercise in the municipality.
