Ryan Pandya and Perumal Gandhi are co-founders of a revolutionary start-up called Perfect Day. Their idea? To make dairy products without the help of cows. Perfect Day, whose name is inspired by a study which found that cows produce the most milk when listening to the song Perfect Day by Lou Reed, uses a process called microbial fermentation. The process creates all the proteins that exist in milk by using yeast.

Hugh Weldon, Young Champion of the Earth for Europe in 2018, and the team at Evocco are taking their app to the next level in 2019. They started off on a good note, named among the Irish Times' “50 people to watch for 2019”.
The 2018 Young Champion of the Earth for Africa, Shady Rabab, recently visited Kibera during his first trip to Sub-Saharan Africa. His organization, the Rabab Luxor Art Collective, raises awareness about plastic pollution and turns waste into colorful musical instruments.
