The main objectives of this workshop is for all 12 Pacific Island Countries to jointly provide feedback to the draft and to finalize the project document of the regional HPMP Stage II in the presence of all National Ozone Officers of the Pacific Island Countries.  

The series of meetings will be held on 4 June, 10 June 17 and 24 June 2020

This meeting is organised by UN Environment's Compliance Assistance Programme, OzonAction in Asia and Pacific in cooperation with the Environmental Quality Protection Board, Government of Palau. It is part of the implementation of Enabling Activities project for HFC Phase-down in the Pacific Island Countries.

The Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer will help protect the climate by phasing down high global warming potential hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), which are commonly used as refrigerants. Promoting energy efficiency of air conditioning and refrigeration technology can significantly increase those climate co-benefits.

I It is part of the Regional Network service that OzonAction's Compliance Assistance Programme (CAP) provides to Article 5 (developing) countries as part its role as an Implementing Agency of the Multilateral Fund for the Implementation of the Montreal Protocol.
