Bangkok, 1 July 2019 – National technical and vocational training holds one of the keys that can unlock the potential of one of the world’s most effective multilateral environmental agreements for even greater environmental achievements and labour force development. This was the theme behind a landmark workshop organised by UN Environment in Bangkok last week in which over 60 representatives from 21 countries across Asia gathered ahead of the 41st Meeting of Open-Ended Working Group of Parties to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer.

Opening session 18 Feb 2019
PARIS, FRANCE, 28 February — United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) OzonAction has joined the growing coalition of partners around the world that are supporting World Refrigeration Day (WRD), a newly established annual celebration of the refrigeration, air conditioning and heat-pump sector’s myriad contributions to societal goals – including environmental protection. The first celebration, “WRD-2019,” will take place this 26 June and thereafter on the same day each year.

GUANGZHOU, CHINA, 25 November 2018 – Twenty-five refrigeration and air-conditioning master technicians and industry experts from Bangladesh attended a training workshop in China on the campus of Guangzhou Light Industry Technician College from 22-24 November. This specialized training focused on good practices and safe use of flammable technology used in air conditioners and fridges.
