For bringing the wealth of nature into our homes.

David Attenborough has used his platform as a presenter and gifted storyteller to bring us to places we may have never otherwise known existed and introduce us to nature we may have never otherwise cared so much about.

His documentaries taught me from a really young age that we must preserve nature as it is our home, and he did this without lecturing, without blame, but with humor and poise. He communicated so much insight into the natural world, and yet left space for me to internalize my own conclusions about the value and fragility of nature.

He ingrained in me and probably millions of others around the world a moral and intellectual responsibility to respect and protect the natural world we live in.
