Regional Office for West Asia
UNEP West Asia Office based in Beirut is building up its youth engagement network. The office covers 12 Arab countries namely Kingdom of Bahrain, Republic of Iraq, The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan , State of Kuwait, Republic of Lebanon, Sultanate of Oman, State of Palestine, State of Qatar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Syrian Arab Republic, United Arab Emirates, Republic of Yemen
The UN Environment Programme’s vision is to inspire the next generation of young leaders to become environmentally conscious individuals with a deep love for the planet. Our efforts align with the Secretary General’s supported UN-system wide Youth 2030 Strategy, which emphasizes engaging and empowering young people as agents of change.
Engaging youth as future talents and drivers for change is key for UN Environment Programme in West Asia. We are committed to supporting people to lead more sustainable lifestyles and to support the delivery of environmental education for young people. As such, we have established a youth engagement network to provide a platform for young people to share their ideas and take actions to address environmental challenges.
