Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this meeting will be held as a hybrid meeting. A maximum of two delegates per Member State and two representatives per Major Group may attend the meeting in person. Other participants may join the meeting online. Nairobi-based Missions are advised to consult the note verbal from the UN Office in Nairobi dated 24 September, which stipulates that all permanent Missions will need to inform UNON (unon-officeofdirectorgeneral@un.org) the names of their diplomats/staff who are fully vaccinated in order to re-activate access to the UN Complex in Gigiri. Any representative from a Member State or a Major Group who are NOT based in Kenya and intend to attend the meeting in-person are requested to contact the UNEP secretariat (unep-sgb@un.org) by 18 October for further guidance.
All participants (whether online or in person) need to register through the registration portal by 22 October at the latest.
