Assessing Richness and Gaps Towards the Global Goal on Adaptation

The event is taking place as part of the NAP Expo 2024.

This session, organised by UNEP’s Asia Pacific Adaptation Network (APAN) and  UNFCCC, will pull together insights from countries and partners about the connection between the Global Goal on Adaptation (GGA) targets and the NAP priorities within the context of the Asia-Pacific region. At the end of the session, a set of recommendations will be drawn for countries on how to enhance commitments to GGA targets in their NAPs as well as gather inputs from the NAP process into the UAE-Belem work programme on GGA.

The session will also serve as the launch venue for the 8th APAN Forum Summary Report which contains the highlights of the 8th Asia-Pacific Climate Change Adaptation Forum held in Songdo, Incheon City, Republic of Korea from 28 August to 1 September 2023.
