The High-Level Meeting of the General Assembly on the Midterm Review of the Implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) 2015-2030 will mark the conclusion of the Midterm Review.
The High-Level Meeting will adopt a concise and action-oriented political declaration to renew commitments and accelerate the implementation of the Sendai Framework which can inform, inter alia: the quadrennial review of the SDGs at the UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) in July 2023; the SDG Summit and the UN Secretary General’s Summit of the Future at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) in September 2023; and the UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP 28) in November 2023.
