On 19 to 20 June 2025, UNEP's Executive Director will convene an Intergovernmental Meeting to consider the establishment of a science-policy panel to contribute further to the sound management of chemicals and waste and to prevent pollution at the Convention and Exhibition Center in Punta del Este, Uruguay.
The meeting will take place back-to-back with the resumed third session of the ad hoc open-ended working group on a science-policy panel to contribute further to the sound management of chemicals and waste and to prevent pollution (OEWG 3.2), which will take place from 14-18 June at the same venue.
