• Overview

The annual implementation conference of UNEP’s Oil and Gas Methane Partnership 2.0 (OGMP 2.0) will take place from 9-12 February 2026 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

OGMP 2.0 is UNEP’s flagship programme for measuring and reducing methane emissions in the oil and gas sector. It provides the industry with a global standard for monitoring, reporting and verification of emissions, enabling companies to identify major sources and focus mitigation efforts where they have the greatest impact.

This year’s conference celebrates OGMP 2.0’s fifth anniversary, and the collective progress made by member companies committed to reducing methane emissions across the sector.

The partnership has grown into a vibrant, global community of practice. It brings together more than 150 member companies, who collectively represent 42 per cent of global oil and gas production, as well as partners from academia, governments, international organisations and NGOs. The annual conference is a key forum for knowledge exchange and sharing best practices on methane measurement and management.

Note: attendance is limited to OGMP 2.0 members and partners.
