On Monday, October 18th, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM EDT Green Hope Foundation host a session at the upcoming Virtual Parliament of the World's Religions on the theme "Humanity and Mother Earth - Recovering Better through a Compassionate Lens"

The COVID19 pandemic has caused unimaginable suffering , on a scale that remains unprecedented in living memory. The impacts have been disproportionately severe on young people, especially those who are from vulnerable sections of civil society. It has brought to the fore the glaring inadequacies of our infrastructure, not just in terms of healthcare but of our social and economic systems, exacerbating existing inequalities. The recovery process presents us with a unique opportunity of rebuilding better, that must avoid the pitfalls of the past, to restore the balance between humanity and Mother Earth. One of the greatest challenges ahead is how the recovery process will address the looming climate threat that, like the pandemic, poses an existential threat to future generations. This panel will bring together an inter-generational set of speakers to present a multidimensional perspective on rebuilding better through a compassionate lens.
