Join us for the upcoming launch of the Western Indian Ocean Marine Protected Areas Outlook: Towards achievement of the post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework targets.

This landmark, government-endorsed publication examines the current and future status of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) on a regional level. It documents progress made by countries in the Western Indian Ocean region towards achievement of SDG 14.2, in which countries committed to protecting 10% of their marine and coastal areas by 2020 and provides lessons and opportunities to increase momentum for achieving post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework targets.
