Meeting of the Bureau of the Conference of the Parties to the Bamako Convention

The Bureau of the Conference of the Parties to the Bamako convention met virtually from 12:00 to 14:00 GMT on Thursday, 10 September 2020. The objective of the meeting was to take stock of the third Conference of the Parties (COP3) to the Bamako Convention and discuss the strategic, technical (for instance COVID19 and waste management), institutional and financial matters relating to the implementation of the Convention, and implementation of decisions of COP3. A Roadmap for the Bureau was discussed and adopted. The Bureau was also updated by Liberia (invited as Observer) on the illegal disposal of contaminated plastic waste into the country
