The report Inclusive Wealth of Pakistan: The Case for Investing in Natural Capital and Restoration will be launched as part of World Environment Day celebrations hosted by Pakistan on the theme of 'Ecosystem Restoration.' The salient points and main findings from the report will be presented and discussed in a televised programme on Pakistan Television (PTV) by the Honorable Mr. Malik Amin Aslam, Federal Minister and Adviser to Prime Minister of Pakistan for Climate Change and Ms. Inger Andersen, Executive Director of UN Environment Programme. This report looks at Pakistan as a case study of measuring a nation’s wealth beyond Gross Domestic Product, focusing instead on environmental and social indicators. The report estimates the inclusive wealth of Pakistan from 1992 to 2019 at the national and regional levels. The findings are based on the application of the inclusive wealth framework from a geospatial perspective.
