The Latin America & Caribbean Youth Environment Forum (LACYEF) took place on 27 September 2025 at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) in Lima, Peru.
The Forum provided an opportunity for young people from across the region to finalize their collective inputs to the XXIV Meeting of the Forum of Ministers of Environment of LAC, to begin preparations for the seventh session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-7), and to exchange perspectives on key issues related to the regional environmental agenda.
To ensure a participatory and representative process, a series of youth consultations and a virtual survey were carried out to gather contributions from across the LAC region. These inputs were consolidated into the LAC Youth Statement. The final outcome document from this process was published on the webpage of the XXIV Meeting of the Forum and informed the Member State delegations.
