3RD FORUM OF MINISTERS AND ENVIRONMENT AUTHORITIES OF THE ASIA PACIFIC

23 – 25 JANUARY 2019, SINGAPORE

 

The 3rd Forum of Ministers and Environment Authorities of the Asia Pacific (3rd A/P Forum) will take place from 23 to 25 January 2019 in Singapore. The meeting is jointly organized by Singapore’s Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources and the United Nations Environment Programme (UN Environment).

 

The 3rd A/P Forum, which serves as a platform for Member States and for Major Groups and Stakeholder to contribute regional perspectives to the 4th session of the UN Environment Assembly (UNEA-4) in March 2018, Kenya, Nairobi, the Major Groups and Stakeholders’ Forum will be held on 23 January 2019. The 3rd Forum is open to participation from the 41 countries under UN Environment’s Regional Office for the Asia Pacific.  UN Environment Assembly is the UN's highest-level global decision-making body on the environment.

 

Therefore, the 3rd A/P Forum will focus on UNEA-4’s theme: ‘Innovative Solutions for Environmental Challenges and Sustainable Consumption and Production’. The official call for application for Major Groups and Stakeholders will follow in due course. However, for planning purposes, the broad programme is as follows:

  • 24 January 2019, Thursday                   –  Senior Officials Meeting          
  • 25 January 2019, Friday                         –  Ministerial Meeting
