On June 5, an event at United Nations Headquarters in New York will mark World Environment Day 2025 under the theme “Beat Plastic Pollution”. Organized by UNEP in collaboration with the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations, the observance will focus on the multitude of solutions at our fingertips to tackle plastic pollution. Member States, observers, and other stakeholders will have the chance to share initiatives that promote circular economy approaches and sustainable use. The event will take place in Conference Room 12 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York from 11:30 am – 1 pm EDT.
