Description:

Extreme heat is emerging as one of the defining urban challenges of the 21st century. This webinar will bring together city representatives from Singapore, Lagos, Barcelona and Antalya to exchange practical experiences on heat resilience, sustainable cooling, urban planning and international cooperation. Building on UNEP’s Beat the Heat initiative and the 50 Cities at 50°C campaign, the session will explore how local innovation can be amplified through city diplomacy and peer learning.

Heat waves are becoming more frequent, intense and prolonged, placing growing pressure on public health, infrastructure, energy systems and urban economies. Cities are at the forefront of responding to these impacts and are increasingly developing innovative approaches that can be shared globally.
