Following the submission of the latest Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), the focus is shifting from ambition to implementation. Countries are now working to translate climate commitments into coordinated action, mobilize finance and deliver results aligned with national development priorities.
The CW4 Peer Exchange Workshop on NDC Implementation will bring together government representatives, development partners, financial institutions, civil society and the private sector to exchange practical experiences on implementing NDCs. Through interactive peer learning and country-led discussions, participants will explore how to prioritize actions, strengthen coordination, unlock finance and accelerate implementation.
The workshop is jointly organized by the UNFCCC Secretariat and its Regional Collaboration Centres (RCCs), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the NDC Partnership and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
Key themes
- Translating NDCs into implementation pathways
- Prioritizing and sequencing climate action
- Mobilizing public and private finance
- Developing investment-ready programmes and projects
- Strengthening coordination across institutions and stakeholders
