Description:

Food Loss and Waste (FLW) is a critical lever for food systems transformation in national pathways, delivering combined climate change mitigation and adaptation, food security and nutrition, and economic benefits. 

This session, hosted by Ghana and the Food is Never Waste Coalition, in collaboration with other partners, will demonstrate how countries are advancing their commitments to reduce FLW as part of their national pathways for food systems transformation, and how these efforts can be further strengthened by integrating FLW targets into broader agriculture, food security and nutrition, environment and development strategies and plans.

The session will furthermore highlight opportunities for delivering impact at scale through leveraging financial mechanisms and fostering multi-stakeholder partnerships and global coalitions FLW reduction and sustainable cold chains.
