This is an official side event at the 2025 BRS COPs  that aims to strengthen implementation of global environmental commitments through coherent and synergistic implementation of MEAs, the KMGBF and the Global Framework on Chemicals. 

This side event will also highlight the increasing efficiency and effectiveness in implementation of multilateral environmental agreements (MEAs) and frameworks through increased cooperation and the identification of potential synergies. 

The side event intends to contribute to this year theme Make Visible the Invisible: Sound Management of Chemicals and Waste through  presenting the recent developments within the international agreements and frameworks on the interlinkages and contributions among the two clusters 

This event is organised by the UNEP, alongside the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity, Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions, Minamata Convention on Mercury, RAMSAR Convention on Wetlands, The Convention of Migratory Species, and The Global Framework on Chemicals.

This event is open to all registered delegates participating at the official meetings of the BRS COP
