Africa's energy landscape is rapidly evolving, presenting both challenges and opportunities for the continent's energy future. By 2021, 675 million people still lacked access to electricity, with a significant 80 percent of this population residing in Sub Saharan Africa. Without immediate action from governments and the international community, 660 million people will continue to live without electricity by 2030.

Mission Efficiency is an energy efficiency ecosystem that unites partners to accelerate the transition towards energy efficient economies worldwide. The Mission Efficiency Marketplace is a platform for connecting energy efficiency projects with a wide variety of financial resources to accelerate energy efficiency progress. This session aims to show the power of energy efficiency in supporting electrification efforts, showcasing enhanced policies and exploring how the Mission Efficiency Marketplace can drive substantial investments to this sector.
