• Overview

What: This session forms part of the 25th International Riversymposium. The session will take the style of a panel discussion – it will feature UNEP and Rotary International’s work on river ecosystems as well as a deep dive into four rivers around the world, and addressing the challenges facing them. As such, the session will discuss developing effective partnerships to increase community and stakeholder action in protecting, restoring and sustaining river ecosystem health at the local level. The objective of the session is, therefore, to foster understanding and robust knowledge of how partnerships can result in positive action for river ecosystem health, as well as to equip audiences with a framework for applying lessons learned from these partnerships to their own projects.

When: Monday, 28 November 2022, 14:35-16:05 (CET)

Dial-in details/registration details: Online and onsite. Onsite session: Room 3 (partner workshops), Tech Gate building, Vienna, Austria
