Description:

Held at the start of COP28 and hosted by the COP28 Presidency and Bloomberg Philanthropies, the inaugural Local Climate Action Summit will bring together subnational climate leaders – mayors, governors, businesses, non-government organizations, and more – who have been and will be increasingly critical in helping national governments reach emissions reduction targets and net-zero ambitions. This session will outline how subnational leaders can advance nature positive development in cities and regions into their climate and biodiversity plans, for sustainable urban and regional development and will announce the rollout of the Urban Nature Program
