Thematic session: Rome Nutrition Week 2026 – Hybrid event

About the Event

Shifting to healthier diets and reducing food loss and waste (FLW) are high‑impact climate mitigation strategies with major nutrition and health co-benefits, yet only 1 percent of climate finance currently supports nutrition outcomes.

This interactive Rome Nutrition Week roundtable event is jointly organized by FAO, WHO, UNEP, Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) and the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Movement, with the Initiative on Climate Action and Nutrition (I-CAN), the Alliance for Transformative Action on Climate and Health (ATACH) and the Food and Agriculture for Sustainable Transformation (FAST) Partnership. The event will draw on country experiences to show how evidence and innovation on healthy diets and reduction of FLW can inform smarter climate investments, delivering better outcomes for people and planet.

Interpretation available in English, French, and Spanish. For more information, visit the Rome Nutrition Week 2026 website.
