The 90-minute Business Leadership for Clean Air live webinars are part of the 2025–2027 UNEP project, Strengthening Corporate Capacities and Leadership for Clean Air, funded by the Clean Air Fund and delivered in partnership with the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI). The project positions air pollution as a significant material business issue and supports companies to strengthen their capacity to measure, report and reduce air pollutant emissions across operations and value chains.
These introductory webinars will provide practical guidance for companies on how to get started. Participants will explore the business case for action on air pollution, priority sectors and key emission sources, and the tools and methodologies available to support companies in quantifying, reporting and addressing emissions. Sessions will feature experts from UNEP, UNGC, SEI and private sector practitioners, offering both technical insights and real-world perspectives. Participants will also be introduced to the new UN Global Compact Academy e-learning course, Why Air Pollution Matters to Business, and learn about opportunities to engage in upcoming in-person workshops and peer learning opportunities.
The webinars are open to all and particularly relevant for companies and stakeholders working with business on sustainability who are looking for a practical entry point to action on air pollution. Sessions are offered across time zones, with recordings available for those unable to attend live.
