ESKEN Webinar Series 2021| Demonstrating Positive Environmental and Social Impact of Sustainable Land-Use Finance

The first ESKEN Webinar of 2021 on Demonstrating Positive Environmental and Social Impact of Sustainable Land-Use Finance to be held on Thursday 24th June 16:00 – 17:00 BST. 

Background:

The event will focus on the successes, challenges, and lessons learned in measuring the positive environmental and social impact of sustainable land use investment. 12Tree and Mirova will share their insights on their sustainable land-use focussed funds. We will also introduce the newly launched Land-Use Financing Positive Impact Indicators directory which aims to support banks, funds, and investors to standardize the framing, measurement, verification, and reporting of positive E&S impact. Last week we launched our interactive webstory on the directory which can be found here! 

The session will include an introduction by Ivo Mulder – Head, Climate Finance Unit UNEP, an overview of the directory by Kiran Sehra – Associate Programme Officer UNEP-WCMC, followed by two exciting presentations from Sarah Maillard – Analyste ISR, Mirova and Irene Montes – Sustainability Manager, 12Tree Finance.
