Background

With the launch of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, the urgent need for ecosystem restoration is increasingly well recognized. Private finance will have an important role by helping to identify, fund, and scale up innovative business models that combine productive land use with restoration.

While there are encouraging trends in this area with more investment vehicles, fund managers and capital dedicated to such activities, deployment remains constrained by a relative scarcity of investment-ready opportunities.

This webinar will explore this issue and discuss potential solutions with experts dealing with the fund management and project development side. We will discuss the main challenges and opportunities in scaling up the deployment of private finance in restoration from the pioneers' perspective in private investment for restoration and those developing innovative business models that combine profitability and ecosystem restoration.
