Nutrients are essential in our daily lives and are present in the food we eat and the air we breathe. Nitrogen - one of the most important nutrients - is majorly used in fertilizer production. Half of the world’s food security is dependent on nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer use.

Often an excessive application of these fertilizers ends up in our environment due to industrial and agricultural activity having profound impacts, from pollution of water supplies to the undermining of important ecosystems and the services and livelihoods they support. This highlights the need for sustainable nutrient management on a local, regional, and global scale.

This webinar, organised by the Global Partnership on Nutrient Management (GPNM), is taking place on 5 September 2023, 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM Nairobi time and aims to showcase ongoing global processes on sustainable nutrient management.
