Following discussions with the ad hoc Open Ended Working Group (OEWG) Bureau, and subject to the availability of funds, it was agreed to convene regional meetings on the UNEP science policy panel on chemicals, waste and prevention of pollution (SPP).
The SPP OEWG Western Europe and Other Groups (WEOG) Regional Briefing was hosted online over two sessions on 8 November 2023 and 9 November 2023.
The aim of the SPP OEWG regional briefings was to undertake strategic discussions to prepare for the second session of the OEWG, scheduled for 11-15 December 2023 in Nairobi, Kenya.
