Development of the mercury inventory for the Sultanate of Oman

The training workshop is designed for national stakeholders related to the implementation to the Minamata Convention in the Sultanate of Oman. The stakeholders will include national agencies such as the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Energy and Minerals, Oman Environmental Service Holding Company S.A.O.C (be’ah), Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Energy and Minerals, Minister of Interior and many other agencies. It is expected that there will be 25 participants. 

Specific Objectives of the training workshop includes:

• Provide good understanding of the steps in planning, preparing, implementing and analyzing the mercury inventory.
• Train the national team in the compilation and development of the mercury inventory using the UNEP mercury inventory level 2 toolkit.
