Lead Paint Project Sub-Regional Workshop in Central Asia and Eastern Europe

The purpose of the Lead Paint Project Sub-Regional Workshop in Central Asia and Eastern Europe is to assist countries in developing national approaches and also possibly consider regional and cooperative approaches as needed in follow up to the GEF Lead Paint Project Regional Workshop in Almaty. Through its work with the Standards Working Group, the department of commerce would help ensure that standards agencies are represented, as appropriate, and is bolstering intra-agency collaboration within the governments of participating countries. Discussions of standards at the regional level are also facilitated.
