The second technical meeting of the Latin American and Caribbean Initiative for Sustainable Development (ILAC) Caribbean working group on environmental indicators will be an opportunity to share experiences and work collaboratively in the production of environmental information that supports decision making in the region.

Experts in environment information from the Caribbean and beyond will gather in Kingston to look at advances made and innovations to come in the way the environment is represented within the countries.

The three-day meeting will host thematic sessions on cross-cutting resources such as environmental information systems and state of the environment reports as well as specific issues such as waste management, ocean monitoring and disaster risk reduction, through lectures, panels and group work to make a productive capacity building event that supports the next step in environmental information.
