The Global Framework on Chemicals has prepared an outline schedule for our International Conference that is taking place from 16 to 20 November 2026 at the Geneva International Conference Centre in Switzerland.

Notes on events
Overview: During the first International Conference of the Global Framework on Chemicals (GFC IC1) there will be a number of activities, including forums, lunch events and spotlight events. Events provide an opportunity for stakeholders to share knowledge, exchange experiences, best practices and tools; and inform negotiations and build capacity, related to the Implementation of the Global Framework on Chemicals in alignment with the three Conference themes, namely Tracking Progress, Accelerating Action, and Investing for Impact.
Selection of events: Owing to the limited time available outside the formal negotiations, the GFC IC1 organizers will not be issuing an open call for side events. Instead, the programme of events will be dedicated to supporting the main themes of the GFC IC1. This approach will help ensure that the limited time available is used strategically to reinforce the outcomes of the GFC IC1 and demonstrate linkages with the strategic objectives of the Global Framework on Chemicals strategic, be multi-sectoral in nature with multiple organizations, inform or reinforce negotiations, and ensure diversity in relation to gender, youth, geography, indigenous peoples and more.
