Upcoming events

The NAP Expo is an outreach event organized by the Least Developed Countries Expert Group in collaboration with relevant bodies and organizations. It promotes the exchange of experience and fostering of partnerships between a wide range of Party and non-Party actors and stakeholders on how to advance national adaptation plans (NAPs). 

At this year's NAP Expo, UNEP and its partners will be co-organizing the following events:

UNEP’s Adaptation Gap Report 2023 points to 5 criteria that can be used to assess and evaluate National Adaptation Plans (NAPs):  comprehensiveness, inclusiveness, potential for implementation, integration, and monitoring and evaluation.

The event is taking place as part of the NAP Expo 2024.

Cities face urgent global and local challenges to support biodiversity, social cohesion, wellbeing, livelihoods and resilience to climate change. We need nature-based solutions and restored ecosystems to address these priorities. Invaluable experience and good practice exist around the world in many different socio-cultural, ecological and governance contexts. There is now a  huge opportunity to move forward…faster…together.
