Project Summary
The main objective of this project is to improve national preventive, promotional and preparatory interventions for an effective response to chemical events and accidents. The project aims to reduce the harmful effects of chemicals in Madagascar, both on morbidity and mortality and on the well-being of the population while ensuring the preservation of the environment.
Project Objectives
- This will be achieved through the following components
- Creation of an institutional environment conducive to chemical security and chemical event preparedness
- Strengthening chemical risk/hazard surveillance capacity
- Enhancing technical skills of the involved stakeholders and
- Improving Chemical and Hazardous waste risk communication and reporting.
