The overall objective of the Thematic Workshop on Strategy, Policy Recommendation and Action Plan for the Life-cycle Management of Controlled Substances to be held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, is to facilitate the network countries to share experiences/perspectives and obtain knowledge from resource persons in the preparation of the National Inventory of Banks of Used/Unwanted Controlled Substances under the Montreal Protocol.

The Thematic meeting (25-27 March 2026) will provide a platform for National Ozone Units (NOUs) and key stakeholders to exchange best practices, strengthen enforcement mechanisms, and address emerging compliance challenges under the Montreal Protocol and Kigali Amendment.
