Valletta is also known as a forerunning champion of sustainable fashion. She was one of the first to bring awareness to ethical and environmentally conscious fashion by founding Master & Muse, an online platform offering responsibly made fashion. She also co-founded A Squared Films LLC, which has produced numerous films supporting progressive social and environmental themes. With designer Karl Lagerfeld, Valletta created multiple sustainable capsule collections and became the namesake brand’s Sustainability Ambassador. Valletta has previously served as British Vogue’s first-ever Contributing Sustainability Editor and Sustainability Mentor for Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), and she now serves as the Fashion Institute of Technology’s Sustainability Ambassador, which allows her to work closely with the next generation of fashion industry prospects.
Beyond sustainable fashion, Valletta advocates for issues close to her heart including climate policy reform, climate justice, oceans and marine life, and animal conservation, among others.
