Biography

Currently working under the Programme officer responsible for the UN Environment mobility work in Africa, Amos supports the coordination of clean mobility programmes and project planning in Africa. He also supports the implementation of transport activities and project initiatives in Africa as well as reporting. This work entails the improvement of fuel quality and automotive fuel economy for national vehicle fleets in Africa.

Amos started his career as an individual consultant carrying out environmental impact assessments and audits. Before joining UN Environment in 2016, he worked with World Vision Kenya for almost six years with a specific focus on programme and project management of Water Sanitation and Hygiene projects. Amos holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental and Biosystems Engineering from University of Nairobi He is also a registered Environment Expert with the National Environment Management Authority In Kenya.
