Biography

Haris Sherzad is the Head of Metrics and Physical Science Unit of UN Environment Afghanistan Programme. 

Haris holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Expertise and Techniques from Université Catholique de Lille, and a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources Management from Kabul University. Previously he has worked on Environmental Knowledge Management, Multilateral Environmental Agreements process, and Climate Change Governance, Policies and Technologies. Currently, he is working with the Government of Afghanistan on climate change policies and opportunities.  

Haris is also interested in volunteer and social activities. He has been the founder and active member of Afghanistan Environmental Experts Association and Green Way Society.
